Changed my mind about using PVA glue for book spines after a talk with a old binder last Saturday...

I always used wheat paste for everything because that's how I learned 5 years ago at a shop in Seattle. This guy named Frank showed me how a PVA mix holds up better on modern paperbacks that aren't acid-free and I tested it on a beat-up novel last week. Has anyone else switched from traditional paste after seeing better results on newer books?

Wait, I used to be one of those people who thought Frank was overhyped, didn't you? His earlier videos were a bit too basic for me, I honestly didn't get the buzz. But after watching that deep dive he did last month on signal processing for amateur radio, I completely changed my tune. The way he breaks down complex stuff into real world examples is crazy good, my mileage may vary but that one tutorial alone taught me more than a whole textbook I'd been struggling with.
