The title company messed up our paperwork and it took 3 extra weeks to close

@oliverallen exactly, our title company blamed bad survey data too but we ended up having our realtor call the surveyor directly and that got things moving way faster than waiting for the title company to handle it.

Appreciation post: the old panel schedules that actually made sense

Haha, "if you can still read the handwriting" is the real struggle! I found one from my grandpa's old shop from like 1989 and I swear it took me and my cousin an hour to figure out what parts he was ordering. Half of it looked like a bunch of scribbles and the other half was just numbers. We finally figured out he was ordering a water pump for a Ford, but only because we guessed by the VIN number written in the corner.

Found a 1988 Sony CRT at the dump last Saturday

Man I had a buddy who found a late 80s Trinitron at a yard sale for ten bucks back in 2015. Thing weighed a ton but he lugged it home anyway. He plugged it in and the picture was crystal clear right out of the gate, no tweaking needed. Last I heard he still uses it for his retro consoles and swears by it. Those old Sonys really don't die easy.

I finally hit 100 different coffee roasters tried this month

You know, that idea about sticking with one roaster for consistency reminds me of something that happened to a friend of mine. He was all about trying different roasters every week, chasing new flavors. Then he made a pour over that was just terrible one morning, and it ruined his whole day. He switched to just one local roaster after that, and he said it was like a weight lifted off his shoulders. No more guessing games with his morning coffee.

Burnt my third batch of sweet potato fries in a row this morning

omg YES okay I was totally the same way, I used to think shaking it was just some overhyped tip and I'd skip it like a lazy idiot. But once I actually tried it, huge difference, I swear the outside doesn't get that dark crusty layer anymore. It's wild how just a quick shake halfway through evens everything out so the heat hits all the pieces more evenly. I was so stubborn about it for months and now I feel kinda dumb for not listening sooner lol. Honestly it's the one thing I'd tell anyone who's struggling with that burnt outside raw center problem, just try it once and you'll see.
