Our book club split in half over the ending of that one novel last week
I was at Sarah's house for our monthly meetup and someone brought up the ambiguous finale of 'The Silent Patient'. Half the group thought it was brilliant and the other half said it was a cop-out, and we ended up arguing for 45 minutes. Has anyone else had a book completely divide their club like that?

Changed my mind about ambiguous endings" - are you serious? That book's ending literally made me throw it across the room. I mean, I get that people love a good mystery but leaving everything up in the air like that felt like a total cheat to me. @anna_craig, did you actually come around on it or are you just trying to keep the peace with the other half of your group? Because I don't think I could ever forgive a writer for pulling that kind of trick.
