Our book club split in half over the ending of that one novel last week

I was at Sarah's house for our monthly meetup and someone brought up the ambiguous finale of 'The Silent Patient'. Half the group thought it was brilliant and the other half said it was a cop-out, and we ended up arguing for 45 minutes. Has anyone else had a book completely divide their club like that?
