Can we talk about how board game nights have changed since 2020? My group used to meet in my tiny apartment, now we have a dedicated Discord server and a 3D printer for minis.

Honestly our local game shop has been packed every Friday since last fall. The owner told me their board game sales doubled from 2022. My own group ditched the online stuff and went back to meeting in person last year. There's something about rolling real dice and sharing a pizza that a Discord call just can't match. All the tech felt like a temporary fix, not an upgrade. I wouldn't go back to virtual game nights even if you paid me.

Saw a piece in the local paper last month about this exact thing. They interviewed a few shop owners who said the same, that after the online boom people are really craving the in person hang. One guy called it "screen fatigue" and it just makes sense.
