Warning: that new clipper oil I bought made my trimmers sound like a dying lawnmower

I picked up a bottle of SuperSheen Ultra Glide at the supply shop last Tuesday and figured it'd be fine for my Wahl seniors, but after two cuts the blade started making this grinding noise like it was chewing gravel. Spent almost 45 minutes taking the whole thing apart cleaning out the gunk before I realized the oil was way too thick for a trimmer. Any of you guys ever grab a product that just didn't match what you needed?

Bought some cheap Amazon oil once and my clippers sounded like a dying cat for a week.

Man I feel you on this completely. I grabbed a bottle of that same SuperSheen stuff thinking it was the good stuff and my clippers sounded like a dying lawnmower on the first cut too. Had to spend a whole evening soaking everything in alcohol to get that thick mess out of the blade.
