Rant: I spent $40 on a 'professional' neck duster that shed everywhere

I grabbed this fancy-looking one online because my old one was getting thin, and the first time I used it on a client, black hairs got all over his fresh white shirt. It took me 10 minutes to clean him up and I had to comp the cut. What's a good brand that actually holds its bristles?

It's crazy how often you pay extra for the "pro" version of something and it's worse than the cheap one. Feels like a scam that's everywhere now, from tools to kitchen gear. They just slap a fancy label on junk and charge triple. Makes you wonder who's actually testing this stuff before it gets sold.

Ever buy a "professional" blender that died after two smoothies? I had that happen, then switched to a basic model that's still going strong years later. @charlesb42 is right, it feels like they just make the packaging nicer. My worst was a premium can opener that broke faster than the dollar store one. Now I check reviews from regular people, not fancy magazines.
