Everyone says to use those big fabric grow bags, but my plastic pots from the garden center in Austin just work better.

I tried both for my tomatoes last season, and the plastic ones held moisture way longer in our Texas heat. The fabric ones dried out so fast I was watering twice a day. Has anyone else found a specific pot type that just clicks for their climate?

Yeah, the plastic pots holding moisture longer totally makes sense here. I'm in Phoenix and had the same fight with fabric pots drying out crazy fast. I switched to those thick, black plastic nursery pots and it was a game changer. They don't bake the roots as quick and I only water once a day even at peak summer. Sometimes the simple stuff just works better for the heat.

What size pots did you find worked best in that heat?
