I finally tried baking with a kitchen scale instead of just using cups
Made the same chocolate chip recipe twice, once with cups and once with grams. The scale batch was perfect, but the cup one spread into a weird flat puddle because my flour was packed. Anyone else have a go-to recipe that totally fails without a scale?

Oh man, welcome to the club! Honestly, I've found that pretty much any bread recipe falls apart without a scale. The flour amounts need to be so exact, or the dough is just a sticky mess. My go-to sandwich loaf was always a gamble until I switched to weighing everything. It's crazy how much a cup of flour can change just from how you scoop it.
