Stop using impact guns on oil drain plugs, you're wrecking the pan

Saw a kid at the shop zipping off someone's oil plug with an impact. Made me cringe so hard. That torque spec is like 20 ft-lbs max, you're just asking for a stripped hole or a cracked pan. Hand tighten it snug then give it a tiny bump with a ratchet. Crazy how many posts on here show pans ruined by gorilla arming it with power tools.

I've been using impacts on oil plugs for over a decade and never had an issue if you know what you're doing. You just feather the trigger and stop the second it snugs up.
