My neighborhood's new dumpster schedule backfired in week 2

The city of Decatur changed pickup to every other Friday at the start of last month. I put my bins out Wednesday night like the flyer said, but the truck came Thursday morning and skipped my street entirely. Turns out the contractor they hired only services certain zones on alternating weeks, and the online map was wrong. I called the hotline and waited 40 minutes, then a guy told me to just leave them out until Monday. Has anyone else in the area had the new routes mess up their pickup times?

Is it possible you put them out a day earlier than the flyer meant, since Wednesday night would be before Thursday morning? The way they wrote it, I could see someone reading it as the night before versus the morning of, and that might have flagged your bins as early. Maybe double check the exact wording on the notice, because the zones thing sounds like a separate headache on top of that.
