DAE remember when you could just ask a question without getting a sales pitch?
Three years ago, I asked on a forum how to fix a leaky gutter and got a straight answer from a guy in Omaha. Last month, I asked the same thing on a new app and got five messages from roofing companies in my area trying to book a quote. It just feels like every place to ask anything is full of people trying to sell you stuff now. Has anyone found a good spot online where people just give real answers?
Ever notice how those old forums had a real sense of community? @ruby494 is right, people just shared knowledge without trying to make a buck off you. It's harder to find that honest help now.
