Rant: Tried using a new wireless sensor adhesive on a brick wall
The label said it was for 'all outdoor surfaces', but the thing fell off after two days of rain. I learned to always test a small patch first, even if the product claims it's fine. Anyone have a go-to adhesive for rough brick that actually holds?

My last house had a brick mailbox. I bought a heavy-duty outdoor mounting tape that swore it could hold five pounds. The first windy night sent my little decorative lantern flying into the neighbor's yard. I ended up using a clear silicone sealant, the kind in a caulk tube, and that thing stayed put for years. Those "all surface" labels feel like a straight-up lie sometimes.
