inA quick tip on annealing schedules that saved my last batch
Wait, you're ramping down from 950? That's way higher than I ever go for annealing. I start my cool from around 1050 for soft glass. If you're getting good results from 950, that tells me your kiln might be running hot or you're working with a different type of glass. That's a huge difference in starting point.

My local library had a great free guide that saved me a ton of time.

inFound a wild detail in an old drafting manual from the 70s
Wow, that reminds me of a buddy who worked in an architecture office that still had some old stock. He told me they found a box of that real vellum film in a closet, and his boss wouldn't let anyone use it because it was "like gold." They literally had a client project that would have been perfect for it, but the boss said the cost to replace it, if they could even find it, was crazy. They just scanned a piece for the look and printed on regular stuff.

inJust wasted 4 hours on a weird power cycling issue in a Dell OptiPlex 3080
Pulling the whole motherboard just for a bent pin on a front panel connector is brutal. That's the kind of tiny, hidden flaw that makes you want to throw the whole case out the window. @troy_knight92 is right, those pins are a special kind of evil. You check all the big, expensive parts first and it's always some cheap wire from the case. Did you at least manage to straighten the pin out, or did you have to order a whole new front panel assembly?

inShowerthought: My old voltage tester nearly got me zapped on a Reno job last month
Man, that's the kind of close call that makes your heart skip a beat, isn't it? Had a buddy who swore by his old tester until it gave him a false clear on a switch leg. Makes you wonder if they should come with an expiration date stamped right on the side. What's the point of a safety tool you can't actually trust?
