I got into it with a pilot over a 'good enough' repair at a hangar in Phoenix
He said, 'It's just a small crack, it'll hold for the trip,' after I flagged a stress point on a flap track. I stood my ground and grounded the plane, because 'good enough' isn't a spec in the manual. Ever had a pilot or owner really push you to sign off on something you weren't comfortable with?

Used to think keeping things moving was the main job until a mechanic I really respect told me our only real job is to make sure it doesn't stop moving forever.
