Warning: My air fryer smoke alarm moment at 6am
So I tried making bacon in my air fryer for the first time last Tuesday. I set it to 400F like the recipe said and walked away for 10 minutes. The smoke detector went off in my whole apartment complex hallway. Turns out you gotta put water in the bottom tray or the grease just burns. I had to open all the windows in my kitchen for like 20 minutes. Has anyone else had a close call like that?

Scared the crap outta me too, believe me. I was just standing there and it went off like a bomb. My heart was pounding for a solid ten minutes afterwards. Did you check if yours had any warning signs before it blew, or was it just out of nowhere?
