My air fryer turned my broccoli into burnt dust in 6 minutes

I set it to 400 degrees like the recipe said, but the florets were tiny and dried out completely before the timer even went off. Ended up with crispy black crumbs that tasted like a campfire that went wrong. Has anyone else had their air fryer cook way faster than expected with certain veggies?

Wait 400 degrees on tiny florets? That's basically napalm, dude.

Basically napalm" is the perfect way to describe it, I am the proud owner of a blackened broccoli campfire myself. I swear my air fryer runs 50 degrees hotter than the dial says, which is great for frozen fries but terrible for anything that isn't basically a brick of meat. I just tell people my broccoli was extra crispy and hope they don't ask for a taste test.
