Any feedback on Canada Powersports Financing?

It's definitely the way to go for Canada powersports financing. Dealerships always try to sneak in extra fees or bump the rate so they get a kickback. Getting your own financing sorted first gives you way more negotiating power when you walk in the door.

PSA: Our local library set up a tool lending program for woodworkers.

Libraries are about learning and making stuff accessible. A router table is just another tool for people to build things they couldn't afford otherwise.

Warning: Had to choose between a 12 inch plank and a 6 inch for a weird shaped room

Oh man, five walls. That's a special kind of headache. Had a bathroom like that once, every corner was off by a few degrees. Spent more time with the angle finder than the saw. You made the right call on the six inch, no way the wider stuff would have cooperated. Those jobs where the layout takes longer than the install just kill your day.

A 1940s dresser had me fighting old shellac for a week

That old shellac can be a real nightmare. Had a similar fight with a 1930s vanity. What finally worked was denatured alcohol and a ton of coarse steel wool, just soaking and scrubbing small sections. It turns the shellac back to goo so you can wipe it off. Still a messy, slow job, but it kept me from sanding through the original veneer. A chemical stripper made for shellac might work faster, but the alcohol felt safer on such thin old wood.
