Actually sounds kinda smart to me.

Watched my friend try to corner his escape artist rooster for an hour. That bird kept ducking under the same bush every single time. He finally just sat down on a bucket nearby, and the rooster strutted right over to him like nothing happened.

My sister gave me one of those as a gift and it felt so wasteful. The real issue is that these gadgets create more trash when they break. My frother's cheap plastic handle cracked after a few months. Now I just shake hot milk in a mason jar, it works perfectly and I don't have another thing to store. The whole single-use kitchen tool trend is kind of a scam lol.

Honestly that's a great story but the price part caught me off guard. A full sand and refinish for half the cost of new vinyl plank seems off. Around here, refinishing hardwood is almost always more expensive than putting new vinyl over it. Maybe the quote for the new floor was super high end or included a ton of subfloor prep. Just wanted to point that out so folks reading don't get the wrong idea about costs.
