My poster design looked awful on screen but perfect printed
I was working on a music festival poster in my home office last month, and the colors looked totally washed out on my monitor. I almost scrapped the whole design, but I printed a test copy anyway and it came out super vibrant with the exact contrast I wanted. Has anyone else had their screen lie to them like that?

My old laptop screen made every dark blue look like faded denim. What kind of monitor are you using, and have you ever tried calibrating it with one of those colorimeter tools? I gave up and bought a decent IPS panel after my third project had the same problem.
