Look at a kid's art table after a big project. The floor is covered in paper scraps, markers are all over, glue sticks have no caps. But in that mess, you can see exactly what they made and how they worked. It's not neat, but it's a complete picture of the creative act. That kind of chaos has its own honest order to it.
