Rant: I used to think cheap punties were fine, but a dropped sculpture showed their worth.
Watching my hours of work hit the floor because a punty failed made me invest in quality tools from then on.

Yeah, learned that lesson myself, though for me it was a cheap mandrel that snapped. Sent beads flying everywhere like tiny, expensive confetti. I stood there for a solid minute just staring at the disaster zone on my bench. Now I'm paranoid and test everything twice, which is probably why my projects take forever. Call it the tax for being a cheapskate early on.

Wait, tiny expensive confetti? That's the most painful way to describe it. I'd just stand there frozen too. The cleanup must have been a nightmare, finding all those beads. Seriously, a snapped mandrel sounds way worse than a punty break. All that time just gone in one snap.
