Honestly, if you're just napping, you're doing it wrong. Bring a cheap notebook and force yourself to write down three dumb ideas before you get up. I used to doze off until I started bringing a thermos of strong coffee. Now I sketch quick diagrams or list problems I need to solve. The key is to have a physical thing to focus on, not just sitting there. After a week, my bench time actually produced usable plans.
