Hot take: I lost a $2,000 client because I didn't send a contract first.

They ghosted after I delivered the work, and I was just sitting at my kitchen table in Austin with no way to get paid. Anyone have a good contract template they actually use?

What kind of work did you do for them, and did you have any email proof of the agreed price? Sometimes you can still go after them in small claims court even without a formal contract.
