Honestly that's just smart. Tbh it feels like the whole idea of community trust has been chipped away. You see it everywhere now, from porch pirates to people trying to haggle after they already got the free item. Ngl it makes you keep your guard up for even the simplest things.

Read a local news story about a guy who got jumped waiting in a dark driveway for a couch pickup. They took his wallet and phone. It wasn't even about the stuff, just a setup. Makes you realize some people scan those free listings looking for targets. Porch pickups in daylight just remove the whole chance for that kind of mess. You're not even there, so there's nothing to steal but the old sofa.
