Had a whole pallet of engineered oak show up with a 3/8 inch moisture gap in the middle of a job in Boise

I was laying a 1200 square foot floor in a new build and the last bundle was way too dry, reading 6% when the rest was at 9. I had to stop everything, call the supplier, and set up a humidifier in the room for two days before I could even think about installing it. Anyone else had to deal with a moisture mismatch right in the middle of a big install?

Full time babysitting gig" is the perfect way to put it.

My buddy had a whole kitchen job held up because one box of maple was basically a sponge. It came in reading 12% while the rest sat at a cool 8. He had to spread it all out in a dry storage unit with a dehumidifier running for a week, just praying it would even out. The client was not happy about the delay. That kind of mismatch turns a simple install into a full time babysitting gig.
