Pro tip: leveling blocks shift more than you think

I set my 8x10 shed on concrete blocks in Tulsa last spring and within two months the whole floor was rocking. Turns out the ground settled unevenly even though I thought I packed it down good. Anyone else ditch blocks for a continuous gravel pad after fighting this?

Yeah, you think you packed it down and then Mother Nature laughs in your face? I leveled my 12x16 storage shed with blocks last fall, looked perfect. By spring I could roll a marble from one corner to the other. The blocks just sink or tilt like they got a mind of their own. Now I'm stuck jacking it up and shoving shims under there every few months. Gravel pad sounds like a lot more work upfront but dang if it ain't smarter in the long run.

Gravel pad is the way to go, every time.
