Hit my 100th repair last week and it felt strange

I keep a little notebook of things I fix around the house instead of tossing them. Last week I pulled out my old toaster and got it working again with a new heating element from the hardware store for $6. When I wrote it down, I realized it was my 100th entry since I started this habit 3 years ago. That number surprised me because I never thought of myself as a handy person. Has anyone else ever counted up how many things they have fixed around the house?

That's neat, 100 repairs is quite a milestone.

Wait, are you talking about repair jobs or actual repairs to devices? Because 100 might not be a milestone worth celebrating depending on what you mean. I just hit 87 this month, but that counts everything from swapping screens to fixing charging ports. Some people don't count the simple fixes and only track the bigger jobs. So it really depends on how you're keeping score. It still takes a lot of patience and effort to get to that number no matter how you count it. You must have your process down pretty well by now.
