Walked away from a pre-approval with a local lender after seeing how much more a credit union offered me.

I was dead set on going with the big bank my realtor recommended until the credit union quoted me 0.6% lower and $2,800 less in closing costs - has anyone else switched lenders late in the game and regretted it or was it worth the hassle?
