Got my offer accepted on a house... $5k under asking

Put in a lowball offer on a fixer-upper in Austin that had been sitting for 45 days. They countered at $3k under and I took it. Anyone else have luck with below asking prices recently?

I lowballed a place in Phoenix by $10k last month and they came back at $7k under. I was so pumped until I found the roof had leaks everywhere. But honestly, that's part of the game with fixer-uppers. You got a deal and that's what matters. Just make sure you don't skip the inspection like I almost did! Nice, congrats! I lowballed a place in Denver by $8k last month and they came back at $5k under. I was so proud until I found out the furnace was basically held together with duct tape and prayers lmao.
