Rant: My entire batch of kombucha turned into vinegar because I forgot about it during a trip to Chicago.

Left it fermenting for 21 days in a warm closet, and now my only use for it is cleaning the kitchen, so has anyone else salvaged a brew this far gone or is it a total loss?

Oh man, does that sting or what? I did the exact same thing last summer, left a jar going while I was out of town and came back to pure acid. I tried watering it down with sweet tea for a second ferment, but it just made weird, thin vinegar. Honestly, if it's that sharp, maybe just embrace it as the world's most expensive cleaning spray?

The cleaning spray idea is kind of genius though. My last batch could strip paint, so maybe we're onto something. At least it's a multi-purpose kitchen mistake.
