My friend in Seattle said all pockets on women's pants are a design fail

We were looking at some new jeans and she pointed out that even the 'big' pockets are still too small for a phone or keys. She said it's not a style choice, it's just bad design that ignores how people live. It made me think maybe we should stop trying to hide pockets and just make them big and useful as a main feature. Has anyone tried designing pants where the pocket is the whole focus, not an afterthought?

Honestly, my phone is basically glued to my hand because my pockets are a joke. I bought these cute pants last week and the pocket is so shallow my house key just falls out if I sit down. Why do we accept this? I saw a pair of hiking pants with huge cargo pockets on the sides and I almost bought them just to feel the freedom. What's the most useless pocket you've ever had?

Saw this thing about how pockets got smaller in women's clothes on purpose a long time ago. Something about making us buy purses instead. Makes those tiny pockets feel like a scam now.
