I found out 60% of fabric waste comes from sample production, not final garments

Read it in a textile industry report last week. Everyone blames fast fashion for waste but nobody talks about how many samples get made and tossed before a single dress hits the floor. Doesn't that change where designers should focus their eco efforts?

My cousin runs a little clothing brand and she told me once they made 40 samples for one jacket style because the factory kept messing up the zipper placement. By the time they got it right they had a whole box of perfectly good jackets nobody would ever see. She ended up giving them away to friends but most places just toss that stuff. Have you seen any brands actually trying to fix this or is it just business as usual?

Whoa, my buddy's wedding dress took 11 samples before they got it right.
