Took me 4 hours to fix a hoof crack that should have been a 20 minute job

Read somewhere that some farriers actually put a tiny bit of superglue on the crack before wrapping it, to keep dirt out. It's supposed to speed things up, but I bet it's a pain to clean off if you mess it up. Four hours sounds about right when you're dealing with a hoof that's already damp (which makes everything harder, you know?).

Buddy of mine tried that once and the hoof got infected anyway.
