Man, that reminds me of a guy I met at a flea market who fixed my busted tape measure. He just took it apart, showed me how the little spring had jumped its track, and clicked it back in place. I was ready to throw the whole thing out. Sometimes you just need someone who's seen the same problem a hundred times before. Those little tricks feel like magic when you're stuck.

Yeah, "seen the same problem a hundred times," that's it exactly, @brookebailey. I read once that a lot of what we call skill is just pattern recognition from doing a thing over and over.
