Critique from a regular client about my lash mapping

A lady I've been doing lashes for about 6 months told me my fans looked too heavy on the outer corners. I backed off the length and went lighter there, and now her retention is way better than before. Anyone else had a client point out something that actually improved your work?

i mean... is one client really a big enough sample size to change your whole method...
