Am I the only one who sees guys not checking the governor rope tension during a 5-year?
I watched a crew in Tampa last month skip it entirely, and that's a fast track to a failed test. How do you make sure your team never misses a step like that?

Man, my buddy's crew got popped for that last year. They were rushing a 5-year in Orlando and the inspector watched them skip the rope check. He made them redo the whole test sequence, cost them half a day. Now they do a verbal checklist before they even touch the tools.

Oh man, that's a classic... Skipping the rope check is like forgetting to put your pants on before work. It's such a basic step that rushing past it just shows a total lack of focus. Guess some crews need that half-day penalty to learn the lesson.
