Restoring a 1980s computer made it think it was a microwave.
I hooked it up and it started beeping like it was cooking something. Now my workshop smells like popcorn.

Read an article about old hardware getting its signals crossed like that.

Yeah that "signals crossed" thing is wild. Something I never see people talk about is how these glitches accidentally preserve stuff. Like a corrupted save file or a scrambled video tape might be the only copy left of something, and the error itself becomes part of the history. It's not just broken, it's a unique artifact.
