Maybe it's just me, but I don't think every repair needs to be a full board swap. Fixed a 2017 Samsung TV in my shop last week by just replacing a single $2 capacitor.

What kind of capacitor was it that failed? I see so many boards tossed for simple power supply issues, it's wild. A lot of shops just don't want to do the component level work anymore. They'd rather charge for the whole board and swap it in five minutes. Feels like a waste when the fix is that cheap and easy.
