Hot take: I fixed a dead Xbox by cleaning the power button with a q-tip
A friend brought me his Xbox Series S that wouldn't turn on at all. I was ready to open it up and check the power supply, but on a whim I just took a q-tip with some isopropyl and cleaned around the power button. It clicked right on. I guess years of grime can stop the button from making contact. Has anyone else had a 'fix' that turned out to be way simpler than you thought?

Totally believe it. Had a PS4 controller that kept disconnecting. Was about to buy a new one, but just blew really hard into the USB port. Fixed it completely. Dust bunnies man.

Wait, you're saying blowing on it fixed a whole controller issue? That seems way too easy for a real hardware problem. Dust might cause a bad connection sometimes, but a full disconnect sounds like something worse. I've had controllers die from worn out batteries or broken parts inside. Maybe you just got lucky and it was a one time thing. I'd be surprised if that fix lasts long term.
