TIL that an old refrigerator compressor can turn into a pretty good air compressor if you're brave enough
I was at a buddy's farm outside Austin last weekend trying to blow out some irrigation lines, and his grandfather walked over with a fridge compressor he'd rigged up to an old tank - scared me half to death when it kicked on, but it actually worked. Has anyone else ever repurposed junk like that, or am I just hanging out with a bunch of mad scientists?

Pulled an old washing machine motor off a junk pile and ran a belt sander off it for years.
