Vent: The day our school district replaced all the library books with tablets
Everyone cheered, but I saw the disaster coming. The 'interactive' history app they loaded crashed constantly, and the kids just played games. Has anyone else fought to keep physical materials in their curriculum?

Ugh, we fought that by donating used books to classrooms directly.

Yeah, that "fought that" part really hits home... it feels like you're always pushing back against some dumb rule or another. Donating directly to classrooms is such a solid way to cut through the nonsense and just get books to kids who need them. Takes more legwork, but it actually works.
