My entire class got lost in a digital archive last Tuesday
I was teaching a history lesson at Lincoln High using a new primary source database the district bought. The site crashed right as my students were searching for letters from the 1918 flu pandemic. I had to quickly switch to printed copies I luckily had in my desk drawer. Has anyone else had a major tech fail with a paid education resource and what was your backup plan?

Our school's new math program had a login meltdown during state testing. The kids just stared at spinning wheels for twenty minutes.

Twenty minutes of dead time during a state test is a real failure. Did @mila294's district have a backup plan, like paper tests, or were they just stuck hoping the login would work? I'd be asking who signed off on using a brand new system for something that important.
