Got roasted by a 9th grader for using an old textbook in class
Handing out worksheets from a 2017 book and this kid raises his hand. Says the map is missing three countries that didn't exist back then. Checked my phone. He was right. Had the whole class fact-checking the rest of the chapter. Found another 6 errors. Threw the whole stack in recycling after 2nd period. Anyone else's curriculum materials way outdated?

Wait, a 9th grader actually called you out on missing countries and you checked and he was right? That's wild, kids are way more plugged into current events than I'd expect. It's honestly embarrassing when the curriculum is that far behind reality, but at least you handled it by tossing the worksheets instead of doubling down.
