Why does nobody talk about the right way to clean a clogged sink drain?
I watched my friend try to fix his kitchen sink with a whole bottle of drain cleaner last week, and it just made a bigger mess. Turns out you should pour a cup of baking soda down first, then a cup of vinegar, let it fizz for 10 minutes, and flush it with hot water. Has anyone else found a better method that actually works?

That baking soda and vinegar trick is mostly for light maintenance, not a real clog. The fizz looks cool but it doesn't actually break up the gunk. For a truly blocked sink, you need to get the physical stuff out. A simple plunger made for sinks often works way better than people think, you just have to seal it over the drain properly. If that fails, a drain snake is the real answer, it pulls the hair and grease right out. Pouring chemicals down there just risks hurting your pipes and makes a nasty soup.

Honestly, that fizzy mix never did much for my hair clogs. A cheap plastic hair snake from the hardware store is the only thing that works. Pulls out a disgusting wad of gunk every time.
