Tried a banjo sander instead of hand sanding for a whole room of butt joints
I spent last Saturday sanding a 12 x 14 bedroom ceiling and my shoulders were screaming after 45 minutes with a pole sander (you know how that goes). A buddy loaned me his Festool Rotex with a mesh pad and I finished the whole ceiling in under an hour with zero dust in my eyes. Has anyone else found a tool that completely changed how they do finish sanding?

Overthinking it a bit, maybe? Hand sanding tight spots is fine but a whole ceiling? That's just punishing yourself for no reason. I get being careful but 45 minutes with a pole sander sounds like you're doing penance, not work. Grab a grinder with a soft pad and call it a day.
