Just realized my old metal mud pan versus a plastic one is a game changer on cold mornings
My fingers stuck to the metal pan last week in a 40-degree garage, but the plastic one doesn't get as cold. Anyone else have a simple tool swap that saved your sanity?

Tbh that reminds me of using metal clamps in winter. Your whole hand just freezes solid trying to adjust them.

Honestly used to think metal tools were just better, no question. Then I was trying to adjust a metal level outside on a frosty morning and my skin practically fused to it. Swapped to one with a plastic body and it's a totally different feel. You don't even think about the cold, you just get the work done. Kind of a dumb thing to have a strong opinion about before, but it really does change everything.

Watched my buddy almost drop a whole sheet of drywall because his metal square was like an ice cube. He was working in his unheated shed in December, just trying to cut a straight line. His hands were shaking so bad from the cold metal he messed up the cut. Next day he went out and bought a plastic handled one, said it was the best ten bucks he ever spent. I mean, it's crazy how something so small can make you want to quit a job before you even start.
