I finally gave up on using my 6 inch knife for tight inside corners on a remodel in Tacoma last week.

Honestly, the real problem is the handle. A 6 inch blade is fine, but those bulky molded handles are huge. I was trying to cut a notch for a toilet flange in a tight spot and the handle kept hitting the stud. Ended up using a cheap old utility knife I could choke up on. Sometimes the right tool is just the one you can actually fit in there.

My old kitchen drawer is full of single-purpose gadgets that are too big to use. The garlic press, the avocado slicer, they just take up space. I always end up using a simple chef's knife that fits in my hand. It feels like everything is over-designed now, solving problems we didn't have.
