Update: A clogged suction line cost me a whole day on the river
Had a job on the Ohio last week where the pump kept losing prime. Figured it was a quick fix, maybe an hour. Turned out a chunk of old timber got wedged in the main suction line about fifteen feet down. Spent eight hours total pulling sections, clearing it, and putting everything back. My helper said 'I've never seen wood jammed in there like that before.' Has anyone else run into something that blocked a line so bad it took a full shift to clear?

Seriously a whole day for some wood? Sounds like a bad pump setup more than a crazy blockage.

Consider the wood type, ElizabethPalmer, as some species just don't break down.
