Had a swing pipe blow out on me mid-dredge near Mobile last week

We were about 3 hours into a job deepening a channel near the Tensaw River when one of the swing pipes just let go. Loud bang, mud and water everywhere, and the whole barge started drifting. I had to shut down the cutter head fast and flag the tug operator to come brace us. Cost us almost a full day of downtime and about $400 in replacement parts. Has anyone else had a swing pipe fail on them out of nowhere like that?

Honestly read a forum post where a guy in Louisiana had the same thing happen on a Mississippi job last year.
