Just hit 5000 hours on my main drafting tablet

Checked the device stats last night. Could not believe it. That's like two full years of work time. This thing has seen three office moves and two big project deadlines. The pen tip is worn down to a nub. I remember buying it for a big city job back in 2019. Thought it was a huge splurge then. Now it feels like part of my hand. The screen has a tiny scratch from when a metal scale slid off the desk. Still works perfect. Anyone else have a tool that just won't quit?

My old Wacom from 2016 is pushing 8000 hours. Keep a spare pen on hand for when that nub finally gives out. Those scratches just add character.

Honestly, those scratches would drive me nuts after a while. Tbh I'm super careful with my tablet surface and use a screen protector. A smooth surface just feels way better for line work, no drag or bumps.
